Labor Day Paddle

Labor Day Paddle

All play, no work this Labor Day on the Ocmulgee!

This guided trip has Class 1 shoals that add excitement to your trip, but are easily done by novice paddlers. All paddlers are offered the use of a waterproof, cell phone holder for this trip so that they can snap photos. Meet at the Pope’s Ferry Boat Ramp. You’ll be shuttled at the end of the paddle on our bus from Amerson River Park back up to the put in at Popes Ferry in Monroe County for your 5-6 hour float of the Ocmulgee.

Enjoy the Ocmulgee as it transitions into the larger Coastal Plain form it assumes for the rest of its course from Macon on to its confluence with the Oconee to form the mighty Altamaha. The last notable shoals on the river will keep you on your toes as you travel the 10 miles of river from Popes Ferry in Monroe Co to the national award-winning Amerson River Park in Macon on this full day guided tour.
